Homes in UK 2013

“Home is where we lay our heads at night.” – David Whitworth

We had numerous homes during our 19-week stay in  the UK – not a single night in our own house in Wales.

 Room in Travelodge, Barry
Cardiff Bay Travelodge
We stayed in nine Travelodge hotels -
Cardiff, Barry, Caerphilly, Gatwick Airport, Eastbourne,  Nottingham, Bolton, Wakefield, Cheltenham.

What a change when we went to Pembrokeshire - a B&B place at Ty Coed De

3 nights in a room with a view overlooking St Brides Bay!
Then a caravan home - first time for me

caravan kitchen - nice size

10 days in a caravan home at Druidston, Pembrokeshire - in the wild, windy weather.
31 nights in a room in Oak Tree House at Emerson College - the house well hidden in the greenery.

A week at  Cliff Barn in Sherston

2 nights in the house of the Coopers in Dorset

Our favourite is

Homestead in Stinchcombe where we stayed a total of  30 days.

When we were lucky - we had the company of a beautiful sunset

Special thanks to those who provide us a bed:
Ruth and Richard in London (10 nights),
Anna (3 nights while baby-sitting the grandchildren),
Chris and Ranu in Egham (3 nights).
